Scheduling platform provider Calendly acquired Prelude, a business that focuses on automated scheduling and organizational tools used in talent acquisition. The company said the merger will help recruiting teams and hiring leaders optimize scheduling for interviewers and candidates, and so help employers meet their talent acquisition goals. The acquisition is Calendly’s first.
As job openings continue to outnumber job seekers, research from Robert Half’s 2023 Salary Guide shows employers are stepping up pay, perks and benefits to win over talent. The guide reports that salaries are trending upward, perks are being increased and more requests for raises will come during the next year.
Sixty-nine percent of working adults are optimistic and characterize their employer’s diversity, equity and inclusion efforts as positive, according to research by CareerBuilder. In the survey, respondents shared specific initiatives that they see as the most impactful, including employee resource groups that promote more inclusive workplaces.
Meeting platform GoodTime added a flexible scheduling feature to its flagship Hire product. Called Flexible Scheduling, the module aims to streamline complex interviews across multiple days. It also works across teams, tools and time zones, taking into account variables like blocked time and meeting priority.
Mobile-first hiring and onboarding platform Workstream announced an extension of its Series B funding round with an additional $60 million, bringing its total Series B financing to $108 million.
Haley Marketing Group, a website development and recruitment marketing company serving the temporary staffing and executive recruiting industries, acquired Recruiters Websites, a custom website design and marketing company specializing in digital solutions for talent acquisition. By combining teams and resources, the companies hope to build on each other’s strengths to improve service and overall value for customers.
Salary.com received a significant equity investment from Accel-KKR, a technology-focused private equity firm. Salary.com and AKKR said they’ll continue to cultivate a top-tier work environment where its employees can thrive.
