A report by Boston Consulting Group and Fountain says that winning employers in today’s competition for talent will be those who extend a job offer in days, not weeks, and whose applications are mobile-friendly. The report found that employers that make offers in less than seven days yield 80% more hires on average, than organizations with longer timelines. The best candidates apply to multiple positions, the companies said, and the employer presenting jobseekers with their first offer are more likely to win that talent.
Social platform Jobcase acquired the recruitment marketing platform Recruitology to bolster its ability to match workers to the jobs best suited to them. Recruitology’s platform combines job board software, programmatic job advertising and AI-enabled applicant tracking to help employers find talent quickly and efficiently through advanced analytics and simple-to-use tools. Recruitology will be a fully-owned subsidiary of Jobcase, and Founder and CEO Roberto Angulo will become GM of Recruitology as a Jobcase company.
Job.com acquired QCI Healthcare, a Michigan-based recruitment company. It’s the fourth staffing agency acquisition by Job.com. The company is “on the acquisition trail” for small to medium sized staffing agencies, and plans to acquire more during the first quarter.
HR tech firm Cappfinity announced a new partnership with graduate diversity recruitment company Rare to increase and accelerate the hiring of diverse talent into elite professions. The partnership will offer clients the use of Rare’s Contextual Recruitment System (CRS) to identify outperforming candidates, along with Cappfinity’s strengths-based assessment model.
Emi, a recruiting platform for frontline workers, secured $11 million in Series A funding in a round led by Merus Capital and Khosla Ventures. The investment will be used to double the size of Emi’s team during the next 12 months, expanding across multiple functions including sales, marketing, product and engineering. The company’s focus will remain on streamlining customers’ hiring processes and adding new customers.
Staffing firm Tundra Technical Solutions formed a strategic partnership with LiveHire, a direct sourcing and talent technology provider, to deliver contingent direct sourcing solutions, plus create a global community for women seeking careers in science, technology, engineering, mathematics and related fields.
Alongside, a startup that helps connect employers and job seekers, raised $8 Million (Canadian) in growth financing. The round was led by VC firm 500 Global. Part of the funding has already been used to acquire the job board CareerBeacon. The rest is being used to enhance the company’s product so it guides job seekers through their career journey.
